Our Story
Keeley and Doug did not experience the storybook “love at first sight” like a lot of couples do. They met their freshman year at Florida State University, and instantly became friends… JUST friends. They bonded over their love of football games, Coronas at Cantina’s, and most importantly, their hatred for the Florida Gators. Over the span of their college years, they became great friends and were there for each other through the good times and the bad. They kept in touch after graduation, but Keeley moved back to Fort Lauderdale and Doug back to Naples.
Two years later, Keeley drove over to Naples for a girls weekend, or so she thought. Little did she know she would run into Doug, and it would change her life forever. The two became inseparable… not even a worldwide pandemic could stop them from falling in love. The next three and a half years were filled with many adventures, a lot of laughter (thanks to Doug) and golden retriever kisses from their dog, Steele!
On October 3, 2023, Doug asked Keeley to spend the rest of their lives together and managed to pull off the perfect proposal (with a little help from Keeley’s mom, sisters, and even her boss). The newlyweds plan on honeymooning soon after the wedding!
